I can’t spend all my time building a network marketing business!

What if you were able to quit the rat race and focus full time on building a network marketing business?  What if you woke up and had all day to get done all those tasks you have lined up both on and offline?  Now, snap back to reality!  I’m going to guess that you’re like most people and have at least a job, family, personal life, or all of the above.  Think about it.  From writing articles, to making videos, to talking to at least 5 people a day, it can all add up.  And I’m barely scratching the surface with that stuff.  There’s still a ton more to do when it comes to building a network marketing business.  Most people don’t have all day to do EVERYTHING they want when building a network marketing business.  Responsibilities and life in general will always take up good chunks of your time.

Should I give up on building a network marketing business?

So what are you to do?  How are you going to get everthing done that you need when building a network marketing business?  Well, I’m going to tell you.  Are you ready?  GIVE UP!  No, don’t give up on your business.  Give up on trying to do everything at once all by yourself and expecting success over night.  There’s just no need for it and to be honest it’s impossible.  Even if you had all day every day to build your business you wouldn’t have enough time to get everything done and the fact is that if you really want to keep your sanity while building a network marketing business the right way then you have to do it a little bit at a time.

How should you go about building a network marketing business?

Think of building a network marketing business like working out.  A lot of times you’ll have a workout partner (virtual assitant), maybe a personal trainer (a network marketing mentor), and you have to consistantly workout (stick to your schedule) to really see any results.  And in weight lifting you target different muscle groups throughout the week.  Monday might be chest exercises, and then Tuesday is back exercises.  Wednesday will be legs and Thursday is shoulder day.  Do you see what I’m getting at?  It’s the same with building a network marketing business.

Tell me where to start!

So here’s the first thing you’re going to do.  Get a virtual assistant.  And don’t tell me you can’t afford one.  You can get a good VA for $1-2 an hour and it’s not like they are doing crazy intensive stuff.  They’re just going to be doing the grunt work so you can do the things that actually make you money (talking to people).

Second thing is you need to sit down and write out what you’re going to accomplish each night and don’t go overboard with your schedule.  You’re going to need some down time.  Just like with an actual workout plan where you need some down time to recover, the same goes with building a network marketing business.  For example, Monday you’re going to spend 30 minutes writing one article, but also leave some time to watch your favorite show.  Nothing too long, just 400-500 words.  Then you can send it off to your VA to have them do the spinning.  You might have to teach them the first time, but in no time they’ll be spinning articles for you like it was nothing.  You can even have them blast it out to all the article directories.  Tuesdays you can cut a video, Wednesdays host a webinar, Thursdays write another article.  It doesn’t really matter, but you need to be consistent and you need to get some help with the tedious parts that take up too much of your precious time.

Keep up with a network marketing workout plan and your business will grow, no doubt, but give up on trying to do it all yourself.  You don’t have to be a one man show.  Learn to delegate and you’ll have more time to do the things you want, live your life, and still have a thriving and prosperous business.  Building a network marketing business doesn’t happen over night so relax and take it one step at a time.
